Allegheny Energy and TrAILCo to Conduct Media Tour for Transmission Line
GREENSBURG, Pa., August 20, 2007 – Allegheny Energy and its Trans-Allegheny Interstate Line Company (TrAILCo) subsidiary invite the media to learn more about the Trans-Allegheny Interstate Line (TrAIL) project by attending a media tour on Friday, August 24.

WHO: Allegheny Energy and its TrAILCo subsidiary
WHAT:
- Media tour of existing 500 kV transmission line right-of-way
- Photo opportunities of existing transmission towers, from ground – level and in the air
- Helicopter flyover of proposed TrAIL route in Greene and Washington counties
WHEN: Friday, August 24 – 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (approximate)
WHERE: Allegheny Power’s Uniontown Service Center; shuttle buses provided to existing transmission line location and helicopter departure/return point; shuttle buses will leave service center promptly at 9:15
- Rain or shine event; helicopter flyover of proposed TrAIL route is weather-permitting
- Please wear long pants, boots or closed-toe, flat shoes. We’ll be walking through brush and fields. We suggest you bring a light jacket in case of rain
